ZESTY STEW

This recipe is easy to prepare.
Get your ingredients ready the night before.
In the morning put them all in the crockpot to cook and your zesty stew
will be ready for you at dinner-time. NO FUSS!

1 large sirloin steak (cubed)
4 large potatoes (cut into quarters)
4 carrots (sliced)
1 large onion (cut in half)
Peas, corn, lima or butter beans (choose your amount)
1 large can tomatoes (drained)
1 large can V-8 juice
2 Bayleaves

Dip sirloin steak in a little flour and brown in a little oil, pat off excess oil with paper towel.
Put meat and other ingredients in slow cooker. Stir in V-8 juice.
If needed add a little water to top off.
Cook on medium heat for 6 hours.

No spices are needed, the V-8 provides a zesty flavor.

If you like your stew thicker, mix 1/2 tblsp cornflour with a little water and stir in until you reach desired thickness.

This stew is good served with biscuits.
